Readings: Dan. 6: 12-28; Lk. 21: 20-28
My God send his angel and shut the lion’s mouth so that they would not hurt me, because I was found blameless before him. Dan. 6/8
God guards the path of his faithful (Ps. 97/10; Prov. 2/8). No evil shall fall on the one who trust in the Lord. Though, the enemies of Daniel plotted against him, though the situations were unfavorable to him, he trusted in the Lord with deep faith. And God fulfilled his promises. In our lives too, we are called to trust in the promises of the Lord. Lord only knows the plans he has for us (Jer. 29/11). We can be sure that for those who love God all things work together for good (Rom. 8/28).
So let us make an act of love to the Lord, with deep trust.
Prayer: Lord, God whose kingdom will never be destroyed and whose dominion has no end, deliver us from every evil today, Amen.
