Wednesday of the Thirty-fourth Week in Ordinary Time
Readings: Dn 5:1-6, 13-14, 16-17, 23-28, Lk 21:12-19
In the face of troubles and persecutions, we are asked to stand our ground, trusting in God. The Spirit will guide us; we only need to be open to the Spirit and let the Spirit work in and through us.
Daniels response, as wee see in the first reading, is noteworthy. He is speaking to a king and it is a message of doom, revealed to him by God and he doesn’t hesitate. He clearly states that the king did deeds against the God who has power over life.
So,if God has the power over life, then surely I should surrender myself to him for he knows better – how to take it forward to reach the destiny: which is but, he himself.
