Thursday of the Twenty-sixth Week in Ordinary Time
Readings: Neh 8:1-4A, 5-6, 7B-12, Lk 10:1-12
In the world, we find that inspite of all the progress and growth achieved by humankind in different areas of life, we still find people who are poor, marginalized, beggers, people without basic necessities etc.. We are trying to reach the moon but failed to reach to the neighbour. God has blessed us and given us the authority to do the impossible. Two thousand years before, the situations were sam as today. womwn, children were not part of society, sinners were stoned. Still, He sends seventy and sends them out into the world to proclaim peace. Our world is nothing better than that of two thousand years before. It is worse than that, sinners are walking out freely and innocents are punished. People are killed in the name of their caste and creeds. The authorities decide what to eat and what to wear. today’s Gospel is reminding us that we are the chosen and selected people by God to Proclaime Peace. But before proclaiming peace we need to have peace within us and among us. And how do we get it? It is only by being Loyal and faithful to God Wes should become aware that it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me. Ps: 34:10. Liones may lack, and suffer but those who seek the Lord , lack nothing. so the Gospel invites us to put our trust in God and allow the power of God to be perfected in us, so that we may become channels of peace.
