Both spiritual masters and psychologists invite us to remove negative thoughts from our mind. We can do this in two ways. One is by trying hard to drive out or get rid of the negative thoughts in our mind. This takes a lot of hard work. And often we fail to get rid of the unwanted thoughts. The other way is to fill our mind with positive things. When we let positive thoughts fill our mind then there will be no place in it for the negative thoughts and they will fade away quite effortlessly. “If you fill your mind with a beautiful thought, there will be no room in it for an ugly one” (Frances Hodgson Burnett).
