11 Dec 2017: Come you blessed of my Father

Jesus is coming back to reward the inhabitants of the earth and take many to heaven with Him (Revelation 22:12). What words of hope and of joy we find in the Gospel of Matthew 25:34:  “Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.’” There is a deep longing for God in each one of us. St. Augustine has articulated this in admirable words: ‘Our hearts were made for You and they will never find rest until they find rest in You.’ Jesus has taught us through His Life and Witness how to build up an intimate relationship with God His Father and our Father. As we wait with eager longing for the second coming of Jesus, the best we can do is to strive to mould our lives after Jesus and get ready to live with Him forever.
