1st Reading: 1 Jn 5:5-13; Gospel: Mk 1:7-11
Reading the Gospel passage of the day a simple question rose in me: Will God give the same assertion as He did for Jesus? Will He call us “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.”
If we live as He lived, if we act as He acted, if we speak as He spoke and if we are as He was, for sure God will assert saying “you are my beloved son and with you I am well pleased.”
To be as He was, a basic necessity, as described in the first reading, is the firm belief in Christ the Lord. Let us believe in Him. Let us strive to become like Him. Let us become the beloved of God.
