Reading- Gen 32: 23-33, Mt 9: 32-38
The three years of ministry of Jesus was centered around the aspect of doing good and spreading the good news of the Lord, which also involved miracles. The focal point one could notice is, he goes around as a compassionate master, who knows the smell of the sheep and feels one with them. “And when he saw the crowds he felt sorry for them because they were harassed and rejected like sheep without a shepherd,” these verse of the scripture explores the compassionate heart of Jesus and His feeling of belonging to His own. The compassionate figure of Jesus on whom we meditate on each Friday’s invites each one of us to emulate this virtue of Compassion to be another Christ in the lives of people, in families, work place, study centres, and when we travel around. May we be able to spread the fragrance of God’s compassionate through our lives, no matter where we are.
