Parenting is a Divine Call, Part 2

The world has a way of creeping into us, that without our knowledge we begin to give prominence to things (commodities) than to people who actually matter. We get so caught up with our daily chores of living that we forget the main reason, we were created for. We are so involved in generating wealth for our selves, our families and for our future, that we forget to live in the present, we are constantly focusing on the future. Its good to plan, it’s essential in fact, but not by bulldozing over my today and that of my family’s. That’s why the Lord clearly tells us in Matthew 6:25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?”
Parenting is a daily business, not something that we can put of for the future. It has to take precedence over our jobs, our businesses, our other commitments. As a parent it’s our first responsibility, and our ministry starts here.
